Colchester Film Festival is running a 48 HOUR CHALLENGE from the 12 – 14 OCTOBER 2013 in the lead up to this years film festival.
Entry to the challenge is FREE all you need to do is register your interest below and we’ll keep your team updated as we approach the challenge.
Each teams will receive a title, line of dialogue and action which must be included in the film, you will then have 48 hours to write, shoot and edit a film of between two (2) and five (5) minutes in duration.

Martin Stirling is a multi-award winning director and writer, emerging through the world of short films and commercials. His first short drama Flushed starred Jo Hartley, Danny Kirrane and Janet Montgomery and played at festivals worldwide.
His latest short Future.Inc recently won the grand prize at Sci-Fi London Film Festival 48 Hour Challenge and following the success of the film, he is now developing a feature film with Vertigo.
His commercial clients as a director include Honda, Fosters, Stella Artois, Colgate, Macleans, Doritos, Cornetto, Mentos, amongst others. He was longlisted for the Cannes Lions Young Director Award this year.
Matthew McGuchan is a screenwriter/director his credits include commissions for C4, Warp X, Gold Circle, Element, Apollo and UKFC. His short films for companies including BBC2, the BFI and Screen East have been shown on TV and at festival around the world.
In 2009 his film Tracker won the prestigious grand prize at Sci-Fi London Film Festival 48 Hour Challenge.
His script ‘LD50’ was produced in 2004 with Tom Hardy in the lead. His latest film ‘Truth or Dare‘ was released in UK cinemas in 2012.
